About Me
I am 45 years old and I have more than 20 years of experience in watersports. My journey began with kitesurfing in 2003 and I still love it today. Since 2021, I have expanded into wingfoiling, eFoiling, and windsurfing.
Although I had been casually teaching some friends over the years, my instructor career truly took off in 2023 when I started as an eFoil instructor in Belgium. In 2024, I obtained my Belgian Windsurf Initiator license. In june 2025, I have planned to earn my Belgian Wingfoil Initiator license.
Today, I specialize as an instructor for beginners in wingfoiling, eFoiling, and windsurfing. I can speak English, Dutch, French and some German.

I am continually developing my skills as a watersports instructor and have extensive experience training people in various fields beyond watersports.
From 2013 to 2017, I was a co-founder of an e-learning company specializing in cybersecurity awareness for organizations. Over the last 3 years I have been giving workshops 3D printing in Belgium, I have trained 202 students so far.

Start 2 Coach for Watersports

Can support a trainer in teaching movement skills and basic exercises to beginner and/or recreational athletes (youth, adolescents, and adults) in a sports club or other sporting environment. Understands the key pedagogical and didactic principles and applies them in a safe and motivating environment. Is trained to guide athletes under the supervision of a higher-qualified trainer. A total of 7h theory and 8h practical + passing a written exam.
2024
Initiator Windsurfing + 40h internship

Can independently guide beginner windsurfers (youth, adolescents, and adults) at the club level. The course takes into account the developmental characteristics of the target group and the progression of windsurfing, ensuring that participants achieve their learning goals through tailored technical and tactical training sessions. Includes motorboating & meteorology. Consists of 20h theory + 20h practical + exams. Additionally requires passing a 40 hours internship teaching a group of beginners at a surfclub under supervision of an experienced instructor.

Initiator Wingfoiling

Planned to complete in May/June 2025. Requires a Initiator Windsurf license. Can independently guide beginner wingfoilers (youth, adolescents, and adults). Consists of 8h theory & 8h practical + an exam.
My windsurf instructor internship
During my 40 hour internship as part of my 2024 Belgian Initiator windsurfing certification, I teached a class of 6 people in a weeklong surfkamp for people with mental and/or physical disabilities.

This is probably the biggest windsurfkamp in Europe for people with mental and/or physical disabilities. Togethers with a team of instructors & volunteers I will be training one of the 6 surfgroups of each +- 5 people. This is the 3rd time I participate.
